I have been looking closely at a few source distributions within linux the past few weeks and the few that are worth a bit of notice are :
1. gentoo
2. sorcerer : a. source mage
b. lunar-linux
c. sorcerer
According to news that I have read now out of the 3 sorcerers only source mage and lunar-linux are still under gpl ( free ). The old sorcerer is under the original guy ( Kyle Sallee ) under a new licence ( SPL ). Anyway after all the installations I have tried ... I found that gentoo is pretty impressive but the installation for sorcerer is easier for the beginner. I haven't really began using it yet ... so can't really comment on the usage.
Anyway some interesting developments are abound osso ... gentoo has overtaken sorcerer on the distro most visited list. Source distros for me is still the way to go !! Somehow after using gentoo all this time going back to a rh or mandr distro seems rather distasteful to me ... :)
